Memory corruption via unchecked audio buffer copy

A classic buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio firmware allows local users to corrupt memory during voice-call registration. The audio registration path copies user-supplied voice-call registration data without checking that it fits the destination buffer. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation can disclose limited data, alter memory integrity, and interrupt the affected device.
