Authenticated API login via invalid certificate acceptance

Authentication bypass in affected Fortinet FortiOS and FortiProxy releases allows remote authenticated users to log in with an invalid certificate. The API-key plus PKI authentication path grants a session despite an invalid client certificate, omitting a critical certificate-validation step. An attacker must possess a valid API key for a configured PKI-protected API user; successful login provides that account's assigned API privileges.
