CVE-2024-52959Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via malicious plugin DLL

Published Nov 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024

Code injection in plugin management in iota C.ai Conversational Platform 1.0.0 through 2.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. The plugin-upload path accepts and loads an attacker-supplied DLL as executable plugin code without constraining its behavior. High-privilege access to the network management interface is required, after which the DLL executes commands with the platform service permissions.
