Privilege escalation via uncontrolled DLL search path

Uncontrolled DLL loading in Veritas NetBackup before 10.5 allows local users to execute code in another user's security context. The Windows command path can resolve a malicious library from an attacker-writable root-drive location instead of restricting DLL lookup to a trusted directory. Exploitation requires write access to the drive where NetBackup is installed and a user to run a specific command, after which the library runs with that user's privileges.
