CVE-2024-52940Public exploitNetwork attack vector

IP address disclosure via direct-connection traffic

Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 23, 2024

Information disclosure in AnyDesk 8.1.0 and earlier on Windows allows remote attackers to obtain a target’s public IP address. With Allow Direct Connections enabled, session setup sends peer addressing information into network traffic that the initiating endpoint can capture. Knowledge of the target’s AnyDesk ID is required; targets on the same local network can also have their private IP address exposed.
