Out-of-bounds GPU memory write via reconstruction commands
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Imagination Technologies Graphics DDK 1.15 RTM through 24.2 RTM2 allows guest OS users to corrupt GPU memory. The rgxfw_pm_add_freelist_for_reconstruction firmware path accepts improper reconstruction commands without keeping the resulting write inside the guest's virtualized GPU-memory bounds. The path requires low-privileged code running in a guest VM; the write can corrupt memory outside that guest's assigned GPU region.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
