Cross-boundary GPU memory access via improper firmware commands
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Out-of-bounds access in Graphics DDK 1.15 RTM through 24.2 RTM2 allows guest OS users to access memory beyond virtualized GPU memory. In the rgxfw_hwperf_config path, GPU firmware processes improper guest-kernel commands without preventing out-of-range reads and writes. Guest-kernel execution and virtualized GPU access are required; the bounded consequence is cross-boundary GPU-memory disclosure and modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
