Guest-to-GPU memory overwrite via unchecked eDM offset
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Imagination Technologies Graphics DDK 1.15 RTM through 24.2 RTM2 allows attackers to overwrite GPU memory. The GPU firmware trusts the guest-controlled psContext->eDM value when processing shared memory, allowing an out-of-range pointer offset to address memory beyond that guest's virtualized GPU region. Reachability requires attacker-controlled kernel software inside a guest VM with access to shared GPU-firmware memory; host code execution is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
