CVE-2024-52902Network attack vector

Unauthorized access via hard-coded database passwords

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in IBM Controller 11.1.0 allow remote authenticated users to gain unauthorized system access through the client. The Windows client embeds database passwords directly in its source code, exposing reusable credentials to users able to inspect the application. Exploitation requires low-privilege access and no user interaction; the credentials permit unauthorized database-backed system access.
