Credential disclosure via XOR-obfuscated configuration passwords
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Feb 10, 2025
Weak encryption in AudioCodes Mediant SBC before 7.40A.501.841 allows attackers with an INI configuration export to decrypt stored passwords. The TPApp binary obfuscates exported passwords with simple XOR operations and a dynamically generated password-based key. Access to an exported configuration is required, and recovered passwords expose the accounts and services whose credentials the file contains.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
