Profile modification via missing CSRF validation
Published Jul 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Tips and Tricks HQ WP Affiliate Platform before 6.5.1 allows remote attackers to modify affiliate profiles. The affiliate details endpoint accepts an auto-submitted POST containing profile, contact, tax, payment, and account fields without validating a CSRF token. A targeted affiliate must remain authenticated and open attacker-controlled HTML; the request then overwrites that affiliate's stored profile data.
