Administrator-targeted script execution via unescaped lead referrer
Published Jul 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in Tips and Tricks HQ WP Affiliate Platform before 6.5.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The administrative lead-management page returns the POST wp_aff_referrer value in its response without sanitizing or escaping the value before rendering it. Exploitation requires an administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML that submits the form, after which the script runs with that administrator's browser access.
