Stored XSS via unescaped rule identifiers
Published Mar 10, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Stored XSS in eKuiper before 2.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a crafted rule ID. REST rule handlers interpolate attacker-controlled identifiers directly into HTTP responses with fmt.Fprintf without HTML escaping. A user able to modify rules, such as kuiperUser, can plant a payload that runs when another authenticated user updates, starts, stops, deletes, or restarts the rule.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
