Unauthenticated command execution via shell-enabled training launch
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
OS command injection in LlamaFactory before 0.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through its WebUI training workflow. The WebUI runner passes the user-controlled output_dir value into a formatted llamafactory-cli command and launches it with Popen shell=True. An unauthenticated request reaching the WebUI training interface is sufficient, and injected shell syntax runs with the server process's privileges.
