Local code execution via writable configuration file
Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
Incorrect default permissions in XINJE XDPPro.exe 3.2.2 through 3.7.17c allow local users to execute arbitrary code. The XNetSocketClient component leaves its configuration file writable, then consumes attacker-modified configuration content during execution. Local host access is required; public records do not identify the file, writable field, or resulting process context.
