Script execution via unrestricted tz parameter
Published Nov 19, 2024 · Updated Nov 20, 2024
Reflected XSS in Ganglia-web 3.73 through 3.76 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The master/header.php component fails to restrict or neutralize the tz query parameter, allowing script markup to enter the returned page. Exploitation requires low-privilege access and a victim to open the crafted URL, resulting in attacker-controlled script execution in that user's web context.
