CVE-2024-52754Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via oversized fn parameter

Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024

A buffer overflow in D-Link DI-8003 16.07.16A1 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt jhttpd via a crafted HTTP fn parameter. The tgfile_htm handler in the jhttpd executable accepts the HTTP fn value and overflows a buffer; the public report does not identify the copy operation or destination bounds. Authenticated network access to the router interface is required, and published assessments support service interruption rather than data disclosure or modification.
