Authenticated report disclosure via unchecked workspace path
Published May 24, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in Jenkins Report Info Plugin 1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read report files from the controller. The plugin trusts an editable workspace directory when locating report XML and serves matching files without validating that the path stays within the workspace. Item/Configure permission is required, and disclosure is limited to Surefire, PMD, FindBugs, and Checkstyle report data on the controller.
