Unauthenticated server compromise via unrestricted file upload
Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in HkCms 2.3.2.240702 and earlier allows remote attackers to place dangerous files on the server. The getFileName method in app/common/library/Upload.php accepts upload filenames without adequately restricting dangerous file types, allowing server-processable content to be stored. No authentication or user interaction is required; processing uploaded executable content can compromise site data and service availability.
