TLS interception via disabled peer certificate verification

Improper certificate validation in LibreOfficeKit in LibreOffice before 24.2.4 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept TLS traffic. When LibreOffice runs in LibreOfficeKit mode, its curl resource fetcher sets CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER to false instead of validating the server certificate. Exploitation requires control of the network path to a LibreOfficeKit process fetching a remote resource, enabling interception or substitution of that resource.
