Code execution via out-of-bounds WRL parser write
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Teamcenter Visualization and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows attackers to execute code via WRL files. The applications write beyond an allocated buffer while parsing crafted WRL content; Siemens has not disclosed the affected parser routine or field. Exploitation requires a user to open an untrusted file and yields code execution in the context of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
