Code execution via WRL parser over-read
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Teamcenter Visualization and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows attackers to execute code through crafted WRL files. The WRL parser fails to validate user-supplied data and reads beyond the end of an allocated structure. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, after which code runs with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
