Code execution via WRL parser out-of-bounds write
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Teamcenter Visualization and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows attackers to execute code through a WRL file. The WRL parser does not properly validate user-supplied data, allowing a write past the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
