Code execution via type definitions installer script
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Code execution in JetBrains WebStorm before 2024.3 allows attackers to run code through a type definitions installer script. In Untrusted Project mode, the IDE allows that installer script to run instead of suppressing executable project-supplied behavior. Exploitation requires user interaction with an untrusted project and can disclose or alter data accessible to the WebStorm process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
