CVE-2024-52547Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via oversized configuration name

Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 5, 2025

Stack overflow in Lorex 2K Indoor Wi-Fi Security Camera firmware before 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. The DHIP configuration filter copies the configManager.getConfig name value through strncpy into a 128-byte stack buffer, using an attacker-controlled period position as the copy length. Administrative credentials and network access to the custom DHIP service on TCP port 80 are required; successful exploitation runs an operating-system command with root privileges.
