Unauthenticated device reboot via untyped DHIP password
Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
DoS in Lorex 2K Indoor Wi-Fi Security Camera firmware before 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111 allows remote attackers to reboot devices via DHIP. In sonia!Multicast_accessInit, DevInit.access accepts a non-string pwd JSON member, then passes its null value_str pointer to strncpy. No authentication is required, but the attacker must reach UDP port 37810 on the device's primary network; the sonia crash activates the watchdog and interrupts operation through a reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
