CVE-2024-52538Network attack vector

Authenticated script injection via SQL metacharacters

Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 4, 2025

SQL injection in Dell Avamar 19.4 through 19.10SP1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a network interface. Dell has not published the affected request, parameter, SQL statement, or script-execution context beyond identifying improper SQL metacharacter neutralization. Low-privileged credentials and network reachability are required; successful exploitation permits script injection with confidentiality, integrity, and availability effects.
