File disclosure via incomplete SVG reference filtering
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Information disclosure in affected Nextcloud Server releases allows remote authenticated users to read local files through SVG previews. The SVG preview provider checks only for xlink:href text, so a plain href attribute causes ImageMagick to render a referenced local file into the preview. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account, an administrator-enabled SVG preview provider, and interaction that generates the preview.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
