CVE-2024-5249Network attack vector

Authenticated session impersonation via untracked SAML IDs

Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

Authentication bypass in Perforce Akana API Platform before 2024.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to replay SAML tokens. At SSO login, the platform failed to persist previously accepted SAML response or assertion IDs, so it could not reject reuse of an accepted token. Access to a valid token and a deployment using SAML Web SSO are required, and replay can expose or alter data within the impersonated session.
