Browser script execution via unescaped user input
Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in Weather Atlas Widget 3.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a victim's browser via crafted input. The plugin passes user input and shortcode attributes into user-facing output and dynamically composed URLs without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. No authentication is required, but a victim must click a malicious link, visit a crafted page, or submit a crafted form; the script then runs in that victim's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
