Stack memory disclosure via oversized DNS query
Published May 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in TP-Link Omada ER605 2.6_2.2.2 Build 20231017 allows network-adjacent attackers to disclose stack memory. sndDnsQuery copies an attacker-controlled DDNS server name onto the stack, overwrites sendSize, and transmits data beyond the DNS payload. Exploitation requires Comexe DDNS and a man-in-the-middle position; leaked pointers bypass ASLR only when chained with other flaws.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
