Subscriber-level web-shell upload and execution
Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WPMonks Sage AI 2.4.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload and execute a web shell. Neither the CNA record nor its sole Patchstack reference identifies the upload handler or the missing validation operation that accepts the dangerous file type. Subscriber-level WordPress access is required, and an executable server-side file grants code execution in the web server's context.
