Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Medma Technologies Matix Popup Builder 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The medma_mtx_insertContentValue AJAX action accepts attacker-controlled option names and values and changes arbitrary WordPress options without a capability check. No authentication is required; enabling registration and assigning Administrator as the default new-user role permits creation of an administrative account.
