Unauthenticated web-shell upload via missing type validation
Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in BdThemes Instant Image Generator 1.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to place web shells on servers. An unspecified upload function accepts attacker-controlled files without validating their type before storing them in the WordPress media workflow. No authentication or user interaction is required, and executing an uploaded server-side script grants control within the web server's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
