Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file uploads
Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Arttia Creative Datasets Manager 1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute server-side code. The plugin's upload handler accepts attacker-controlled files without validating their type and stores them in a web-accessible uploads directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; an uploaded PHP shell can run commands under the web server account and alter site data.
