Authenticated script execution in visitor browsers
Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Boston University IS&T BU Slideshow 2.3.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Patchstack and the CNA record do not identify the input, code path, or missing output-encoding operation that stores the payload. Low-privileged access and a separate user’s interaction are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in that visitor’s browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
