Contributor-level stored script execution
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Javier Méndez Veira SimpleGMaps 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Public records attribute the flaw to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but do not identify the vulnerable parameter, function, or rendering path. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes when another user opens the affected page, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled script execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
