Memory corruption via unchecked pixel-value indexing

An out-of-bounds write in determineMinMax in OFFIS e.V. DCMTK 3.6.8 allows attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted DICOM file. The routine sizes a lookup table from the declared bit range, then indexes it with unchecked Pixel Data values while Count controls the write loop. Processing the file through the affected image pipeline, as demonstrated with dcmcjpls, triggers a heap-buffer overflow without authentication.
