Traffic interception and modification via unchecked certificates

Improper certificate validation in affected ECOVACS DEEBOT devices allows remote attackers to intercept or alter TLS traffic. The robots' MQTT and TLS clients accept self-signed certificates, and an OTA script invokes wget with certificate checking disabled, allowing man-in-the-middle attackers to inject update content. The attacker must control the network path; intercepted traffic can expose data, while altered firmware updates can compromise the device.
