CVE-2024-52328Public exploit

Camera-use warning suppression via writable audio files

Published Jan 23, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Incorrect file permissions in ECOVACS camera-equipped robots allow local users to suppress camera-use audio warnings via /data access. The firmware plays localized warning sounds from writable files under /data, so deleting a file or replacing it with an empty file silences the notice. High-privileged filesystem access is required; successful manipulation hides the audible indication when live camera viewing starts and every five minutes thereafter.
