CVE-2024-52325Public exploit

Unauthenticated command execution via SetNetPin BLE input

Published Jan 23, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Command injection in ECOVACS robot firmware allows physically proximate attackers to execute commands through an unauthenticated BLE request. SetNetPin() decrypts and parses attacker-controlled GATT JSON, inserts an extracted value into an environment-variable command line without neutralizing shell metacharacters, and executes the result. BLE is always active on the lawnmowers and available for 20 minutes after vacuum startup or daily reboot; successful injection provides command execution on the robot.
