Sensitive backup disclosure via missing access checks
Published Dec 23, 2024 · Updated Dec 24, 2024
Improper authentication in Sharp router backup functions allows remote attackers to retrieve sensitive configuration files. The backup download path fails to enforce access authorization before returning a configuration archive to the requester. Exploitation requires LAN connectivity over Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet and knowledge unavailable through normal operation; the disclosed impact is limited to reading files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
