Cross-site scripting via unreleased pooled JSP tags

Cross-site scripting in generated JSPs in Apache Tomcat 11.0.0, 10.1.31, and 9.0.96 allows remote attackers to inject script output. Jasper's Generator.java skips JspRuntimeLibrary.releaseTag when tag pooling is enabled, allowing stale tag state to produce output without expected escaping. Exploitation requires a JSP application whose pooled tag output incorporates attacker-controlled data and a user who renders that output in a browser.
