Host command execution via unrestricted EventManager actions
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Improper input validation in SFTPGo 2.4.0 through 2.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands through EventManager. The executeCommandRuleAction path runs an administrator-supplied command without checking it against a system-controlled allowlist. An SFTPGo administrator permitted to create command actions can read or alter the database and server configuration with the privileges of the SFTPGo process.
