Protected attachment disclosure via delegated author rights
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
Information disclosure in XWiki SAS PDF Viewer Macro (Pro) 1.6.2 through 2.5.5 allows remote attackers to read protected attachments. The WYSIWYG HTMLConverter processes an attacker-supplied pdfviewer macro with asAuthor enabled under the last page author's view rights instead of the requester's rights. Access to any page last saved by a user permitted to view the target attachment is sufficient, and no edit right is required.
