CVE-2024-52294Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Subscription tampering via unchecked email ownership

Published Dec 30, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024

Authorization bypass in Khoj before 1.29.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify other users' Stripe subscriptions. The /api/subscription update_subscription handler accepts an email parameter, looks up that Stripe customer, and changes subscription state without confirming that the authenticated account owns the referenced subscription. Any authenticated account can target another customer's email to schedule cancellation or reverse a pending cancellation, affecting billing state without exposing data or interrupting the service.
