Stored script execution via unsanitized project Markdown
Published Nov 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 28, 2024
Stored XSS in SUSE HackWeek allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in viewers' browsers via project descriptions. Project list, tile, similar-project, and about views rendered stored project-description Markdown without sanitizing the resulting HTML. Any user able to create or edit a project can store the payload, and script execution requires another user to view the affected project.
