Stored XSS via unsanitized file uploads
Published Jun 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in CyberChimps Responsive Starter Templates 3.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts by uploading files. The WXR importer file uploader accepts uploaded content without sufficient input sanitization and later renders it without adequate output escaping. Author-level access or higher is required, and the stored payload executes in the browser whenever another user opens the affected page.
