CVE-2024-5208Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated server shutdown via uncaught upload error

Published Jun 19, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to shut down the server. The upload-link handler processes a malformed or empty request body without an exception boundary, letting the resulting error terminate the server process. A Manager role and access to any workspace are sufficient; successful exploitation causes a service shutdown without reported data disclosure or modification.
