CVE-2024-52067

Sensitive-data disclosure via unredacted synchronization logging

Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Information disclosure in Apache NiFi 1.16.0 through 1.28.0 allows local users to write Parameter Context values to logs through debug logging. The same behavior affects 2.0.0-M1 through 2.0.0-M4: VersionedFlowSynchronizer.updateParameterContext converts current and proposed parameter maps to strings and passes them to a debug logger without redacting values. An authorized administrator must change logging from the default configuration and trigger flow synchronization; disclosed data is limited to values held in the affected Parameter Context.
